Embarcadero is very happy to announce that the FMX Linux UI library for building Linux client applications with Delphi is available once again for RAD Studio 12.3 and also for RAD Studio 12.2, along with older versions.
The FMX Linux add-on library to RAD Studio provides capabilities for building GUI applications for Linux, extending RAD Studio’s (Delphi Edition) FireMonkey cross-platform framework, which already targets Windows and macOS on desktop, plus Android and iOS on mobile. Using FMX Linux you can build a Linux client app with the same exact UI controls and source code you use for other platforms.
Since the original author of the library, Eugene, sadly passed away last summer, we have been working with the heirs of his IP on a new agreement to continue licensing FMX Linux and making it available to our Delphi and RAD Studio, Enterprise and Architect customers on active subscription.
Starting today, as mentioned above, the FMX Linux library can be downloaded from GetIt for any release of 12 Athens, including 12.2 and 12.3, but also older releases. We plan to keep offering the library to our customers in the future.

Will the platform library be converted to native code in the future? To get rid of fmux.so ?
There are no plans we can share at the moment. The best idea is for you to raise this as a feature request on the quality portal so that it can be tracked.
Thanks for keeping this in the radar and bringing this great library back!
I’m a little confused here, you say can be downloaded for any release but I’m not seeing it in GetIt and building for Linux in the installer with 12.3 pro is not available ?
It is (and always was) available in the Enterprise and above SKUs. The release means “11.x”, “12.x” etc. I see the confusion, sorry.
eu parti para criar aplicacoes com FMX com LINUX e pelo que vi nao tem suporte algum a ferramentas de relatorio, gostaria de saber quando isso vai ser melhorado
[English translation] “I started to create applications with FMX with LINUX and from what I saw there is no support for reporting tools, I would like to know when this will be improved”
Any reporting solution which is compatible with FireMonkey FMX should work. For example: https://getitnow.embarcadero.com/fast-report-vcl-and-fmx/ should be compatible. I would recommend you try them first and see how you get on.
So who owns FMXLinux now, Embarcadero or KSDev? If it’s KSDev do they still have developers actively working on it?
